Darwen Vale High School is a good school.  We know that a good education has a transformational effect on the lives of young people now and in the future so we are committed to providing high quality teaching and learning on a daily basis coupled with strong and effective support systems. Our school is a place where every child is recognised as an individual, where their voices are encouraged to be heard and their ideas developed.

We believe that education should be a challenging but enjoyable experience. We work hard to instil in all our pupils the desire to do their very best because this is crucial to achieving success. We support pupils to gain the appropriate qualifications and skills they need for a lifetime of success and provide a wealth of additional learning opportunities via an impressive range of extra-curricular opportunities.

Visitors frequently comment on the purposeful and friendly working atmosphere within our school. We believe that this arises partly out of the commitment and approachable style of our highly qualified staff and partly out of the firm but fair discipline we maintain.
